Expanding fabrication skills.

A metal shop ready for its first class: welding tables under fume arms, MIG welders, a bandsaw, drill press and grinders, gas cylinders, a vise bench and helmets on the wall

An imagined scene, not a photo: The Atrium is under construction now.

Why it’s here

211square feet

Our metals room focuses on the fundamentals: cutting, bending, and joining sheet metal. Students learn the traditional way with a shear, brake, and roll, and the modern way with a fiber laser that welds and CNC cuts, making precise metalwork approachable without years of training. Combined with the electronics area and the next-door finishes room, these basics open the door to serious builds from battle bots to bike frames.
